posting comments on Rural Womyn Zone content.
Rural Womyn Zone reserves the right to delete comments that are deemed by
the editors to run against the progressive spirit of our community. Rural
Womyn Zone is looking to develop a progressive space where writers and
readers need not face rhetorical intimidation and name-calling for holding
alternative, progressive views. Any form of bigotry, racism, sexism,
homophobia, or name-calling will not be tolerated. If you feel like
maligning our community of writers and readers, then please do so with your
own website or other publication. While we highly respect your free-speech
rights, it is not our obligation to give free web-space to people with whom
we disagree on basic issues.
In addition to the above, we will delete comments that violate the following
specific guidelines.
1. Use of offensive racial / gender / sexual preference / religion-bashing
terms or other hurtful speech.
2. Use of inappropriate language (swear words).
3. Spam and links to spam.
4. Links to inappropriate or unrelated content such as porn, distasteful
pictures, etc.
5. Comments that include any third party’s personal information, names,
addresses, phone numbers, e-mails, etc. without their consent.
6. Unrelated comments that have nothing to do with the topic, repetitive
diatribes, off-topic posts that hinder discussion, and responses to those
posts.
7. Personal attacks on another commenter or Rural Womyn Zone writers.
Comment on ideas, not people. Do not be abusive.
8. If you have any questions about our guidelines, ask us. If you don’t ask,
we’ll assume you have read them, understand them, and have agreed to follow
them.
